Originated from Nishi-Azabu in Tokyo, La Bombance is founded in 2004 by Chef Makoto Okamoto. As a popular spot among trendsetters and celebrities such as Ken Watanabe and Hidetoshi Nakata, its signature “New Japanese Cuisine” always focuses on seasonality, technique, with a touch of French influence and the passion in hospitality.
Opened in 2016, La Bombance Hong Kong locates at the heart of Causeway Bay with an electrifying Victoria Harbour view. The city vibe inspires the cuisine here to be even more vividly and gorgeously presented with an array of colours, a creative mix of ingredients around the world, the complicity of texture and new flavours; all served with a vision to delight everyone through the welcoming and fun experience.

MEET OUR CHEF
Ishiba Masaki – Chef de Cuisine
Born in Mie in Japan, 32-year-old Chef Ishiba has nurtured his culinary passion since childhood. Started from the opening team of the prestigious Kikunoi Tokyo, he spent five years to develop a solid and all-rounded foundation in Japanese cuisine. In 2009, he was amazed by the creativity and hospitality of Chef Makoto Okamoto, landing him to a culinary playground – La Bombance. In 2016, he was sent to Hong Kong as sous chef of the brand’s oversea branch and next year he was promoted to lead the Hong Kong team as Chef de Cuisine.
